Over the last decades, our Firm has been involved in virtually all major project finance transactions in Greece, including Athens Airport, Attica Toll road, Rio-Antirio Bridge. Our advice covers all aspects of project financing, including, among others, the financing and refinancing aspects of the construction, development and operation, the security package, legal due diligence and advice on the related real estate and licencing issues, etc. Our clientele includes major credit and financial institutions, major construction companies as well as governmental institutions.  We have been renowned for our comprehensive legal advice as well as our commercial approach serving the best interests of our clients.
Recent Highlights
  • Advising the consortium formed by Fraport AG and Copelouzos Group, as well as their local subsidiary Fraport Greece S.A. on project financing of the concession for the upgrade, maintenance, management and operation of both clusters of 14 in total regional airports of the Hellenic Republic by means of two concession agreements
  • Having advised AMSA on the €1.15bn debt restructuring and Project Reset in 2013, we are currently advising them on the financing documentation amendment and debt restructuring, due to the exit of one of the construction companies from the JV for construction, maintenance and operation of the PATHE - new toll road Maliakos – Kleidi.
  • In 2013, the four Greek systemic banks and HSBC granted to Lamda a €89mio loan for the development of the International Broadcasting Center of the Athens 2004 Olympics into one of the leading European Malls (Golden Hall).  The transaction had to be restructured, among others, due to various issues triggered by the imposition of capital movement restrictions in Greece and the amendment of the hedging policy of the financing parties. Our firm advised the financing parties, i.e. the four Greek systemic banks and HSBC.
