SUMMARY

Koutalidis Law Firm offers the opportunity to join our very prestigious, fast-growing Tax Practice. Koutalidis Law Firm is an established market leader in the field of taxation with an exceptional track record in transactions and clients. We provide cutting-edge legal advice in respect of all areas of taxation and tax issues, whether domestic or cross-border, in a corporate or private context, standalone, or as part of a multidisciplinary team, including tax litigation.
We are looking for an associate having at least three (3) years of experience in the Greek tax legal practice, with an emphasis on international taxation, to join our Tax Department. You must be a technically excellent tax lawyer, able to work as part of the tax team as well as autonomously where necessary.

THE ROLE

As part of our tax team, you will be:

• Supporting projects, including drafting advice and conducting technical research on diverse tax issues.
• Assisting in tax litigation engagements.
• Be given opportunities to develop your tax expertise, assume responsibilities, and have direct client engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Law from a top-tier Greek university,

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a top-tier Greek university,
• Postgraduate degree in Tax Law from a well-accredited university. An LL.M degree in international tax will be considered an asset,
• Legal qualification (Athens Bar admission/other Lawyers’ Bar in Greece),
• 3+ years of working experience as a tax lawyer in Greece. Specific experience in M&A will be considered an asset,
• Strong verbal and writing skills in English and in Greek.

SKILLS

• Exceptional knowledge and understanding of the Law, particularly the Greek domestic and international tax law and administrative court procedure,
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment as well as to create value on a stand-alone basis,
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, plan and prioritize work and meet deadlines,
• Commercial and business acumen, strong work ethic,
• Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically,
• Excellent legal drafting skills.
