Koutalidis Law Firm sweeps 2 major awards at the 2013 American Lawyer Awards

International recognition of Koutalidis Law Firm continues, this time, at the 2013 American Lawyer Awards. The prestigious institution awarded the firm with the “Public Restructuring: Greece’s Debt Restructuring of the Year 2013” and with the “Grand Prize – Finance Deal of the Year 2013” for the work in PSI 2. The latter is the second award that Koutalidis Law Firm wins for the PSI 2 work, along with IFLR’s“Debt and Equity linked Transaction of the year” award.

Koutalidis Law Firm advised the Steering Committee of creditors in PSI2, formed to act as a forum for developing or discussing proposals for a voluntary private sector involvement (“PSI2”) in achieving debt sustainability for the Hellenic State in the context of the agreement of October 26/27 2011 reached with Euro Area leaders. The Steering Committee was co-chaired by Messrs. Charles Dallara of the Institute of International Finance and Jean Lemiere of BNP P.

The transaction, which involved the exchange of 206 billion Euros sovereign debt instruments, was completed early in April 2012 and is the largest and most completed debt exchange transaction organized in history.

The American Lawyer Awards are honouring outstanding achievements in the Legal Profession.
