Koutalidis Law Firm advised a syndicate of the Greek systemic banks on AIA’s refinancing

Koutalidis Law Firm advised a syndicate of the Greek systemic banks for the refinancing of the existing indebtedness of Athens International Airport S.A. (“AIA”) to such banks. The refinancing was implemented through the issuance of a secured bond loan of an amount of up to €1,007,843,966 and the borrowing of an additional amount of €28,700,000 under an existing bond loan provided to AIA to cover five construction projects. The financial closing of the project occurred on 25 August 2022.

Alpha Bank S.A., Eurobank S.A., National Bank of Greece S.A., and Piraeus Bank S.A., acted as arrangers and subscribers of the bond loan of up to €1,007,843,966, while Piraeus Bank S.A. also acted as bondholder agent and National Bank of Greece S.A. as facility agent
